School Early Dismissal 5/1/2012

Dear ACCHS Community,
 
Due to the numerous protests scheduled for the afternoon in Oakland, ACCHS will be closing its doors at 5pm today, 5/1/2012. There will be no classes held after 5pm. The ACCHS Teaching Clinic evening shift and Needling Lab with John Kokko has been cancelled as well. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Stay safe, ACCHS Admin

Tui Na Massage Clinic 02/14/2012 – 03/21/2012

The Tui Na Massage Clinic will re-open in the spring 2012 on February 14, 2012 and remain open until March 21, 2012

We would like to invite everyone to make an appointment for a 45-minute Tui Na Massage on any of the following days:

Tuesday      10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday          9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The cost of the 45-minute Tui Na massage is as follows:

$15  First appointment (1st visit)
$20  Appointments after 1st visit
$10 Students (all appointments) (must show student ID)

Commemorating Dr. Wei Tsuei

Dr. Wei TsueiAs many of you know, Sifu Wei Tsuei’s contributions and dedication to ACCHS and TCM were second to none. Not only did he found one of the first TCM institutions in the United States (ACCHS), he also championed the first laws that allowed for the practice of acupuncture within California.

School Closure – Wedneday, November 2, 2011

Dear ACCHS students,
Due to the Occupy Oakland protest taking place in Frank Ogawa (Oscar Grant) Plaza and the call for a general strike on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 – and for the safety of its patients, current students, faculty and staff – the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences will be closed on Wedneday, November 2, 2011.

Clinic interns, pre-interns, and observers will be allowed to make up  shifts at a later date, whenever it may be convnenient to make up the hours. Please pre-arrange your make-up shift with the clinic so that the clinic is not overwhelmed with drop-in interns. If you have any other questions regarding ACCHS’s 11/02/2011 school closure, you may contact the administration offices at 510-763-7787.
